The Big Easy
The first time I ventured down to Nawlins was way back in '56 with a couple of college buddies.  I had a car
so I was offered an all expense paid weekend.  Actually, most of the time was spent down in the bayou
courntry below the Crescent City... Houma, LA.  I was pretty young and got pretty damned drunk.  It was 11
more years before I made it down there the second time... and that was to the Sugar Bowl game between
Alabama and Nebraska... which Bama won 34-7, featuring the great Kenny Stabler and Ray Perkins duo.
Since the late '80s I've been down there at least 18 times, and it's very high on the list of places I'd love
to go to again before I buy a piece of the farm.  Wouldn't live there if you gave it to me.. but a fantastic
place to go for a few days or a week or so.  The cajun folks are among the best in the world.  They'll do
anything in the world for you .. if they like you..  If they don't like you, you could end up as an
alligator's breakfast.  If I could, I'd listen to Cajun music 24-7
